Drive to Amphawa district, approx. 100 kms from Bangkok. On arrival visit Ban Pinsuwan Benjarong. Benjarong is a pentachrome porcelain art, originated in the 15th century made popular by King Rama II who sent ceramics to China and commissioned Chinese artists to paint with Thai designs. View some of the most beautiful and antique Benjarong collection in the traditional Thai House and visit the small workshop where Benjarongs are hand-painted.
Then, visit a simple traditional home see how coconut sap is extracted and made into palm sugar, an important ingredient in Thai cooking.
Continue to the floating market where farmers trade their produce from rowing boats before boarding a long tail boat for a ride through narrow canals along villages and fruit plantations.
Lunch at a local restaurant by Mae Klong River.
Return transfer to Bangkok.
Relive Thailand’s past and experience the former glory of the Siamese Kingdom. This old capital of Thailand is 76 kms north of Bangkok, 1.5 hours by road. Sights to see are the gigantic bronze Buddha statues at Wat Mongkol Borpitr, the former Royal Temple Wat Pra Srisanpetch and the Pagoda of Wat Yai Chaimongkol. Lunch at a local restaurant.
